How to remove the word "slug" from pages permalink?

    Hello!
    This little problem is giving me headache!
    How do I remove the word “slug” from my URL?
    All pages come with it. The website has only pages not posts. I’d like to change it or remove it.
    https://www.lm-motorsport.it/pippo/wordpress/slug/docenti/
    I selected the “post name” from Permalink Setting section, and checked “Strip the category base (usually /category/) from the category URL.” on SEO YOAST.

    Even if I set “Custom Structure” on permalink setting and change it, still I have the same annoying “slug” word on the URL.

    What am I doing wrong?
    May it depend on some server’s setting?
