How to remove this URL extension?

  • hey guys,

    I just installed wp again,
    the URL became like this:

    and when to login to admin will be like this:
    mydomain.com/blog/wp-admin

    I don’t really want to see the word (blog)
    is there any way how to remove this? or shall remove and re-install wp again?
    please advice accordingly,

  • There are a few ways to go, depents on your required settings. If you only want a WordPress blog, you have to create a blog folder and install WordPress in that one. If you want to create a full WordPress website, than you need to install WordPress in the root of your webserver.

    So, in your case, if you want to see you post on mydomain.com, than you should install WordPress in your root folder.
