How to remove “When this product is bought move user to this role” option?

    Our business sells subscriptions using WooCommerce. Different subscriber levels are and membership levels are role based.

    Recently I came across an Ultimate Member “feature” that is so destructive, I must remove it from the product edit page. On the product edit page there is an Ultimate Member block that says “When this product is bought move user to this role,” and by default it says Customer.

    I don’t want to move the purchaser to any role. The user is fine the way they are. No, I don’t want to choose “None”. I don’t even know what that will do, except confuse our edit staff.

    How do I remove that option? Remove as in get rid of it completely from the edit product page? No, I don’t want the member moved to any role. This feature deletes the member’s current role, and replaces it with Customer. It’s really bad.

    I think the answer to my question is found in Settings->Extensions->WooCommerce, “Disable subscriptions roles switcher” set to CHECKED

    Strike that. I think what I’m looking for is “Assign this role to users when an order is completed/processing“, also found in Settings->Extensions->WooCommerce.

    When you select ‘none’, nothing should happen after a product purchase and user role should remain same.

    I am having an opposite issue. I am selecting to assign a specific UM role but the wrong one is assigned.

    This is not a problem with the UM plugin, I don’t think. I think it’s with Woocommerce. FWIW.
