How to report false reviews on plugin ?

Good question. Although it is destined to security issues, I think it might fit for your purpose:

“To report a plugin, please email [ plugins email deleted ] with the following:

– a clear and concise description of the issue
– a link to the specific plugin
– whether or not you have validated the security issue yourself
– optional – links to any public disclosures on 3rd party sites”

The reviews are part of the forums and the forums are looked after by the forum moderators. Start in the #forums Slack channel and report it there.

To use that channel you need a Slack account. You can obtain one via these instructions.

When you contact the #forums channel, inform them what your www.ads-software.com forum user ID is. That will help the moderators find your account and ascertain what the issue is.

If you do use Slack do not direct message me or any other moderator. Use the #forums channel and any moderator there can assist you.

Very little digging showed that the developper is creating fake reviews. Most 5 stars reviews are left from Italy from account just created for this purpose.

It literally is impossible for you to know that. You do not have access to the data; the moderators do. Please do not play detective that way, it rarely is correct. For that reason I have removed the link to the plugin reviews. No one can cast aspersions that way.

Developers are permitted to ask people to leave reviews. It’s very effective and that is 100% allowed.

Those reviews will be looked at and if there is an issue with them then the plugins team will be informed by a moderator. There will be no public conversation about that if that is the case.
