I’ll add it to the list.

Thanks for bringing this up guys. I was wondering why the “Resend” link was not working. For others, here is how to reproduce:

    1. Login to WordPress Dashboard.
    2. Navigate to Tools > Email Log
    3. Hover over the Subject for one of the emails that was not able to be sent.
    4. Notice how Delete, View, Transcript and Resend appear below the Subject for the email in question.
    5. Notice how Resend is greyed out.

Note: Resend will not appear if the email was successfully delivered.

Resend is grey for me too.

I’d love to see the ability to resend even successful emails – sometimes the person may accidentally delete the message, or I may need to troubleshoot a problem (messages going to Gmail’s promotions tab, or messages that don’t display correctly, for example). It would be so much easier to resend from the Email Log instead of trying to regenerate the whole email manually.

The ability to resend e-mail is finally in 1.7. If you can install the 1.7 final beta and give it a test, I would appreciate any feedback on bugs or whatever comments you have!

It would be great if there was an auto retry option with a threshold, IE retry sending all failed emails X number of times before giving up.

The retry button is great, but Id rather have it do it for me than going in to check them.

Would that be great? That implies failures are temporary, and in my experience failures are permanent, because of a bad email address or because the config broke… (eg) your password changed. And that requires operator intervention.
