  • If you delete the prior sales orders and then go to the order “trash” and permanently delete them, everything resets.

All of the sales graphs and sales logs are generated dynamically. You might need to clear your browser cache if you still get order sales data.

Is this what you were asking?

    hi bfarnam

thanks for helping me out It Worked

Hi not sure if I’m supposed to post here because it says resolved (newbie).

I’m having some trouble with my WooCommerce reports. We’ve made test purchases which I obviously don’t want to show in the reports. I’ve done the above steps but my graph still shows all the info regarding the test purchases. Does it take a while to reset or is it automatically done after I delete the orders.

hello to update the WooCommerce plugin I have erased the reports and do not know how I recover

Has anyone figured out how to do this? I am trying to do the same after doing a test case but moving all sales to the trash(and emptying it) has left the graph data still present. Can anyone help?

I am running into the same issue, anyone with recommendations please respond.

    Could try the Woo-Tools:
Dashboard – WooCommerce / System Status / Tools (one of the tabs at top)

One of these might do it:
[Clear transients] or [Clear expired transients] or [Recount terms]

Hey Squirrelnut – actually once we cleared the records as recommended above – and did a new test – the figures reset them selves to the new amount so it worked. I think it just needs time to update.

It appears my reports reset as well after moving orders to the trash and then clearing the trash. However, it did not happen immediately so my next question is when does the clear happen and what triggers it?

I will try clearing transients to see if that forces a refresh. Just want to make sure it is clear so that we know how to handle removals in the future.

    Thanks!

Quick update on what I have done and what results I have seen for future reference and to assist others:

    WooCommerce Report Clear Deleted Orders

    • Made various test orders
    • Viewed the WooCommerce Reports display and ‘orders placed’ count
    • Deleted orders and sent them to the Trash
    • Viewed the Trash and clicked the ‘Empty Trash’ button
    • Viewed the Reports display again and see that the ‘orders placed’ count has not been reduced as expected
    • Tried navigating to WooCommerce -> System Status -> Tools tab and using ‘Clear Transients’, ‘Clear Expired Transients’ and ‘Clear all Sessions’
    • Returned to the Reports display and see that the information as STILL not been updated

So long story short, perhaps there is some other sort of cache involved or there is an automated update process that happens at a scheduled time to clear? My removal the other day has updated but the test case I just described has not so if anyone has any idea on when the clear happens and what forces it please let me know.
