How to restore my posts and pages text?

  • Had a problem while using FTP my site tanked. I had done a backup of the site a week ago so I restored all the wp files and db from backup.

    The site is up with all posts and pages listed but the page text and post text/pictuers is missing. So essentially no content in posts or pages. I did get a couple error messages when backing up the db. But didn’t know what to do about them at the time.

    Anyone know how I can get back my post text and pages? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • It’s hard to say. Is there a link? maybe the content didn’t get restored.

    More information is needed.

    Actually, not ALL of the page text is missing on the front page. Notice the very first part of the first paragraph is still there. So something weird happened to that content.

    I guess I could try to delete all of the WP content on the site, then re-upload it from the backup again and see if that works. The question is whether it’s a db problem or a content problem. Is there a way I could look at my backup files to see if the text is actually in the backup files?
