While Members allows configuring capabilities for some plugins, such as TablePress and Gravity Forms, there are other plugins I use a lot (e.g., FooGallery and Arconix FAQ) whose post types do NOT appear in the Members panels.

I’m using Ultimate Member in conjunction with Members on a college alumni site. While I want alumni members (custom role “Alums”) to add and edit blog posts, I don’t want them to add/edit FAQs and Foo Galleries.

Advice on how to implement this, please?

    Hi Jeff,

Our plugin doesn’t have a section for each plugin. Plugin authors can add admin areas using any capability they want, including custom capabilities. If you know which capabilities are required to access that plugin’s admin area, you can assign those capabilities to a user/role.

Also, many plugins create admin settings pages using a native capability associated with administrators, such as manage_options so in that case, you need to contact plugin author.
