• I use the Inove theme as my theme, but I use a custom header. Essentially I changed the header.jpg that came with the theme to oldheader.jpg. I then ftp’d my new header to my site and re-named the file to to header.jpg and things work great. However, if a new update comes out in the future my header.jpg will be overwritten by the inove theme header.jpg file.

How do I preserve my header.jpg file regardless of the update for the inove theme that may occur in the future..

  • Save a copy somewhere else not in the Inove Theme stuff, either on your desk pc or in a folder on your site that won’t be overwritten for either a WP or Theme upgrade. Might want to rename the copy to something like “my-theme-header” so it makes sense next year. I have gotten in trouble by not making the folder or file name easy to figure out a year later.
