How to reverse post order in category

I found a few posts concerning this, but I don’t understand what to do.

My theme doesn’t use a category.php file, so I duplicated the archive.php file and renamed it to category-news.php.

Several posts mentioned changing the “query_posts(….ASC” to DESC, however, I searched the entire file and can’t find a string like that.

Could someone help me and walk me through the steps so that I can have posts show in descending order for 1 particular category?
