On my new blog (In test mode), I know how to log into the blog, and log into the admin/dashboard, but I can figure out how to log into the actual files on the site, to see them, and possibly to edit them. How do I do that?

    if talking about theme files
    dashboard – Appearance – Editor

if talking about wordpress core files use your host’s file manager or an ftp client

note – posts and pages, etc. are stored in the database and not in any file
you have to edit them from wordpress dashboard under “Posts” and “Pages”

    other options…

    1) dreamweaver allows both local and server views of files
    2) the software on your isp if you have access = cpanel or plesk, etc.

i have an ftp client which i can “view” the files and move the files around but i can’t edit the files. i have to go to 1) or 2) to edit files.
