    Hey Salih,

That is a good point. For now, you can find this data by visiting the Pages report, adding a title filter to narrow down the results to that one post, and then modifying the date range to the past year or longer.

This is a pretty cumbersome process, so I’ll see if we can include the total views inside the Admin Bar stats.

    Ben,

Another solution would be only hiding the counter for visitors and keeping it for admins.

That’s also an interesting idea. Thanks for the tip!

We would like that too, and there is probably an easy way by an additional filter in the functions.php. Will have a look ??

Hi Ben! As it can be a heavy task to read data for each article, maybe you could do like that: 2 or 3 times a day, stats are collected and the “all reading” counter for each article/page is stored in a sql table. This SQL table is then read to display the counter wherever you want (and it would be fine in the “articles” list (admin) as most of concurrents do. Doing so would avoid heavy SQL requests to calculate for each article. Here, only one simple request.

In the update we’re working on now, we’ve already implemented a new option to show the view counter to logged-in visitors only.

We’re also making an update to the date picker to include some new pre-selected date ranges, and one of them will be “All Time.” That option will let you see the total views for all your pages at once in one place.

We’ve just release version 2.3, which includes an option to make the view counter private. We’ve also added an “All Time” view count into the Admin Bar stats.

This is great news! I’ve tested and it works without any issue. Thank you so much.
