How to select a post category on create a post

    Hello,
    how can I determine the category that should be used in the automated new post.

    Sorry @yhazem , we’re not quite sure how to answer the question. Normally the category should just be whatever is applicable for the post–at your discretion. Can you give us more context for the question and an example of available categories? What’s the post type?

    So right now I have two automations, that both trigger wordpress to create a new post. I want automation 1 to trigger creating a new post in category ‘A’ when a certain action happens and and automation 2 to create a new post in category ‘B’ once another certain action happens. Unfortunately I cannot determine the the new post category in the trigger, so all the posts use the default category.

    Hi @yhazem, sorry for the delayed reply. You’re absolutely right; there’s currently no way to add a post to a taxonomy (like category). We’ll get that action updated so that you can choose any applicable category for the new post. Thanks for your suggestion!
