How to sell digital products such as epub and mobi ebooks?

I am getting an error uploading an epub virtual product, for security reasons, woocommerce says?

Why is this? – and is there a workaround?

I’m sorry but this seems a pretty basic thing a plugin as significant as Woocommerce should be able to do ??

Otherwise I LOVE woocommerce and its extensibility.
