• Hi everyone,
I have read and read many post and found one problem that was opposite of mine but still don’t know how to fix mine.
I added an horizontal navbar copied from listamatic and which I just changed the colors and background colors.
It affected the ‘filed under category’ with the background color which is great because I wanted to do that anyway but did not know how. So I want to keep that. But it also put a background color to all the links in the menu and the calendar and made it bigger too so that it overlapses my post.
You’ll have to see it to know what I mean: https://over-50-and-kicking.com/wordpress/
So can I define the menu’s links to show without the grey background as you see it but I would like to keep the grey background on the dates that were posted in the calendar, I mean leave it as the wp original CSS?
I tried using background-color: none in the menu’s a and hover and li and all that but it did not help.
    Please ??
    Thanks
    Lise

  • If you want to define links, head over to https://www.mfr.f2s.com/1css/
Check the CSS file and compare it to the blog.

Root, I know that’s what I did because that’s what I want: I want to move the links that are in the menu now to that new horizontal navbar, and of course I did not have a chance yet to change them. Before I do, I want to fix the menu.
Podz, I will go over to that site and see if that answers my question. Thanks
If not, maybe I will come back and include my css

Well I would use a different road map. Get your hnav set up and then fix what is left in the menu. The half way stage is causing errors in both departments.
