How To Set Featured Image From External URL?

    Hi..
    I Follow this tutorial “How to add an external url to a featured image” See post number 2, i don’t see the_post_thumbnail() in page.php. I See the code in featured-content.php and follow the tutorial but fail, i edit again in content.php buat still get fail.

    How should i replace the code?

    Hey there! You shouldn’t replace any code in the existing theme but use a child theme instead. The best way to use the external image is to save it to your media library, that way it gets resized according to the theme’s specified dimensions and will perfectly fit in the theme.

    The way described in the post you linked to is “hackish” and I wouldn’t recommend even going there, unless you’re fluent in PHP and understand the WordPress APIs.
