The description of GDPR Cookie Consent (CCPA Ready) says that it is multilingual, but where can I set the language e.g. for the cookie banner and the privacy policy? I haven’t found anything in setting. Can anyone help? Would this plugin automatically recognize and list any cookies my site and plugins are using? Would this plugin generate a privacy policy compliant with GDPR? Thanks in advance

    Hi @yxda,

Please mention which plugin do you use for multilanguage set up in the site.

I am using GDPR Cookie Consent plugin. Do you have more GDPR Cookie Consent/Privacy Policy plugins? Would this be the one that I am looking for and meets GDPR requirements in foreign languages? Thanks or your help in advance.

The site would operate only in one EU country, so Cookie Consent/Privacy Policy would be needed only in one language, other than English. Options for other languages would be not necessary.

    Hi @yxda,

If your site is only in one language, you can edit the contents of the cookie message banner and everything else from the corresponding settings pages.

Eg: To edit cookie bar message go to Settings > Customize cookie bar.

The texts you can’t edit will be loaded based on the site’s default language.

Thanks. I might have been misunderstood. What I want is to create a site for a non-English speaking country. However, the best would be if I could work on the site in WordPress Dashboard in English. Even if I change the site language into a language other than English the cookie banners, etc. comes in English. I wouldn’t like to do the translation, I was hoping that the plugin can do it for me. Is it not the case? So, your plugin is not multilingual?

What I want is a cookie consent banner with related buttons for adjusting, accepting and rejecting the cookies and a privacy policy all in one language I’ve chosen for the site and not in English. Can it be done with the free version of your plugin? I can’t find any options for language when setting up the plugin.

    Hi @yxda,

The user-editable texts like cookie banner messages, category names, and descriptions, accept button, cookie settings button, privacy overview content, etc should be translated manually. You can do it from the plugin settings itself. For the texts that are not editable, the plugin provides translations.
