I can see no where to change this if it where a main page I was using then I could sort the issue, but since my blog is the main page I cannot find any where to fix it.
I have spent hours on google trying to find and answer to no avail.

Social sites are probably grabbing the first image found for lack of a better directive. Better directives can be specified by providing structured data, usually in the form of Open Graph tags. Various SEO, social sharing, and structured data plugins ought to enable you to add structured data to the page.

If all else fails a simple custom plugin could be created to conditionally output the appropriate structured data when the “wp_head” action fires. The condition would be only for front page requests. Some minimal PHP skills and knowledge of Open Graph schema would be required to do this.

Hi thank you so much for your reply.
I have installed a social media plug in that allows me to specify the image for social media sharing on pages and posts. The problem I am facing is that i am not using a page as such for my websites home page, I am using the forum as mt main page and I cannot fidn any kind of plug in that will let me set a forum sharing image.
I have even tried to change the image that is showing when I share to the one I want used, but this for some reason will not work.
Unfortunately I am no coder and rely on plug ins.
    Thanks anyway
