How to set the starting date of the calendar

I’m want my calendar to start from September, 2011, so visitors won’t be able to go back to August or anytime before Sept to see an empty calendar without events.

How do I do that?

The calendar currently starts from 4 Jan 1970, in the “ec_calendar.class.php”, line 380, a comment says “// January 4, 1970 was a Sunday”, maybe the code below is related to what i want to achieve?
