How to set up link for pdf download – AWeber Opt-in
-
Hi: Probably making this more difficult, but hope to get some clarification so I can use this form.
I’ve designed an AWeber email form (double optin-in). I have a pdf article that I wish to offer free in exchange for subscribing to our newsletter. I don’t want the ability to get the article until after confirmation of subscription. We’re new so building our EM list is critical, of course.
I uploaded the pdf to the Media Gallery from my desktop. I created a new “page” so that I’d have a redirect link for the pdf file. I inserted the pdf media file into the page – no luck. WP seems to insist that I make the page a post… Not sure why. I will place a smaller, different opt-in form in the blog sidebar once I’ve got this one functioning properly.
The form is on the site now, so my goal is to fix this quickly. I’m just getting stuck on how and where to send subscribers to get this pdf report, which is season-sensitive since it is about Winter horse care.
Can anyone help. I’ve looked at Aweber instructions, videos, but I must be missing something. I “tested the form and I get my confirmation email via AWeber; just need to get the page/link thing squared away.
Thanks in advance and happy holidays!
