How to set up SPF for custom domain?

    I’m using the recent version of both WordPress and Postman. I try to set up Postman to use my custom domain to send emails. It is hosted on 1&1, so I used their standard settings, but failed in sending mails:

    url: smtp.1und1.de
    port: 587
    security: starttls (tls)

    I have the possibility to add a SPF record to my domain, but I could not find any reference on what to put into it and how to make it work with Postman.
