Hi! I went through the guide and connected my google workspace account (set up a project, created api credentials).

Now I am getting a red ‘x’ for SPF in the WP Mail SMTP > Tools > Email Test tab.

There is a link to the google SPF documentation, but no accompanying guide from WP Mail SMTP regarding what specific settings should be used.

    The Basic option says:

    Define your SPF record—Basic
Tip: This article is for people who don't have experience setting up SPF or email servers.

SPF record you can copy, for sending email with Google Workspace only
SPF record examples, for sending email with Google Workspace and your other email senders
For details, go to Define your SPF record—Basic setup.

Is Basic the right option – and are we sending email with Google Workspace only? Or do we need to alter the Basic record to facilitate other email senders?

Some clue in the documentation would be helpful.

    Thanks so much. ??

    Hi @xroox,

Thanks for reaching out! We received your screencast through the support channel, and I have already responded to you with the details.

Thank you for your suggestion and the feedback!

Since this is a general question, any info on this would be appreciated by others as well ?? I have the same exact question. I’m wondering whether I just need to add the basic version from google or an advanced one?

    Hi @aljook,

Basically, you need to set up SPF, and DKIM records on your domain to improve your email deliverability. You need to get in touch with your email provider (Eg: Google Workspace, Office 365) to find that information.

To get a general idea, please refer to this article.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!
