How to set up Time Zone in Functions.php

  • Hi, I’m using a theme which appears to have problems when the settings for Timezone is changed from the default UTC+0, I was advised to change the timezone using functions.php in the theme editor. I’ve looked around and I can’t seem to find the right codes to get this done. I would like the timezone to be set to UTC+10, or maybe have a line of code where when current time is called its time is set to add 10 hours to make up for it.

  • You need to switch themes! The theme should not have anything to do with time or date, since it gets any time or date from the database through WordPress functions.
    You can set the time zone in Settings > General.
