  • It should basically work the same. Do you have MySQL running? Set up a database in MySQL and put its name, username and password in your wp-config.

are you using OSX server or client..?

Ok. I?′ve got the mysql. But setting it up was a bit to much got the: ERROR 2002: Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ‘/tmp/mysql.sock’ (2)

But anyway. Trying to work through the mySql forum wasn’t very easy regarding wordpress. So if any WordPress user know how to do this to get WP running I’d be very happy.

About OSX server or client..? Well.. using it in terminal logged on as admin on my own PB

have you seen https://maczealots.com/tutorials/wordpress/ I found it pretty helpful.

If you haven’t got phpmyadmin or what ever it is called, it is worth downloading, it makes setting up DBs easier than in terminal.

ok it makes a difference depending which version of OSX you are using
