• hi there, I’m stuck and can’t figure out what to do. I have created a WordPress site locally using MAMP, its ready and I’d like to share it with another person to show my work. i’ve tried doing it on GitHub and nothing’s working cos i know I’m definitely missing out some steps and i don’t have much time left. i’ve tried cloning and following the instructions but it’s so complex for me to do it at the moment. there are files that it’s not uploading so that’s why its not publishing. is there another way to share this local website for free? i want to just show my work to this person. can i send files? ( i assume not cos it will only work on my computer’s server) dropbox? thank you all.

You need to make it public.
Get some hosting (can be even free hosting, but not all of them can suffice)
    and copy your site

this plugin can help with copying your site to another domain and location

PS: You dont need to duplicate your topic. All extra copies will be deleted

Hi @fierevere . but that;s the thing i do not want to make it public. it’s a private project. say you just want to share a website with a client. how can you do so?

You can send site archive to another person.
    Duplicator created package can suffice.

But they will need to install webstack software on their PC/server/whatever
Same MAMP version will be fine, but it can be another webstack environment that matches WordPress requirements
