Is it possible to enable a client to view the stats produced by Jetpack of a particular site?

Currently, it would appear that the only way to view stats is via ‘wordpress.com/stats’ which gives access to all of my site details?

If not, what is the easiest method of providing stats to 3rd parties?

Great question! Site stats can be viewed from your Dashboard under Jetpack > Site Stats. By default, these stats will only be visible to administrators. However, you can make them available to other user roles by following these steps:

    1. Navigate to Jetpack > Settings.
    2. Hover over WordPress.com Stats, and click the “Configure” link.
    3. Scroll down to “Report Visibility” and select which roles you would like to provide access to.
    4. Save your changes.

Now, all users with the selected roles will be able to view stats from their Dashboard. You can find some more information about Jetpack’s stats module here.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for this Ryan, it’s very instructive, especially as I’m quite a novice with WP.

What I was really asking though is regarding the stats available via ‘wordpress.com/stats’.

Ideally, I want to provide a client with stats relating to their site, but don’t want them going ‘behind the lines’ as it were. Can you make any suggestions for this please?

Thanks for the additional info! Stat reports can only be viewed from the stats page on WordPress.com or from the stats page in the site’s Dashboard. So, your client would need either a WordPress.com account, or an account on their self-hosted site to view them.

Alternatively, if you aren’t afraid of getting your hands dirty with some code, you can retrieve stats using the WordPress.com Stats API:
    https://stats.wordpress.com/csv.php

This post is a few years old, but it provides some helpful examples:

If you grab the stats using the API, you could then generate a custom report for the client.

I hope this helps! Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions.

Hello, I have problems with my stats. I can get into every page except the most important ones: The dashboard and the details. I am starting to get really pissed off as this has been going on for a while. The Dashboard has always been slow, but now it’s non existent. Have installed JetPack and all, but it doesn’t seem to make any difference. Please help me get my stats!
