    You can use Publicize to make it more customizable for you. You can see a cheat sheet my colleague made of how to make your Posts look like you want here:

    Using the Title, Custom Message, and Excerpt, you can customize the way any posts get shared to Facebook. If you don’t change the default custom message, it will post a longer excerpt of your post content.

    Thanks, handy cheat sheet/image indeed. I’m more looking for filters to handle this automatically, though…

    In that case, that GitHub issue you linked to initially is where we’re giving consideration to automating and customizing what Publicize can do. Since we’re working with six different APIs, we can’t just change one thing to work with Facebook when all the services run through a single channel when Publicize is fired.
