    Hello,

I was searching for “how to open a menu page in pop-up dialog in wordpress”, and I ended up on this plugin. I’ve install it, have read a few topics, but I’m still confused.

So, all I need to do is, when I click on the menu item, instead of opening the page, to show it in pop-up dialog.

From what I’ve read, I understand that needs to be in iFrame, but I’m not totally confused.

I feel like this is pretty simple to do, but still..

Any idea how can I manage this?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi tupacan, basically you need to (1) enable the iFrame option on your Settings > Media admin page and (2) give the menu item a class name fancybox-iframe on your Appearance > Menus admin page.

To do this last step, you might need to go into the Screen Options tab (top right) and check some options to make editing class names available…

After this, the menu item will open in a lightbox.

Please note that this means opening the complete page including header, sidebars and footer inside an iframe with lightbox effect. If you want to only show the page content without the surrounding website stuff, then you will need to install one more plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/show-content-only/ and create a custom menu item that uses ?content-only=1 at the end of the link target. And give that menu item the class fancybox-iframe again.

    hello RavanH,
When i try the plugin without the ‘show-content-only’ plugin, the menu link shows a popup. But if i add the ‘?content-only=1’ to my menu link the popup is blank!

@rkhyd, can you share a link?

    Thanks for the quick reply.
    Website
please check the links contactus1 which is the content only link and contactus2 which doesn’t have the content-only option.

That’s because https://54.255.134.112/contact-us/?content-only=1 is blank too. It looks like either your theme is incompatible with the Show Content Only plugin or there is an error occurring… You’ll need to ask the Show Content Only developer.
