    Hi,

I just installed the plugin and made a test poll. Now I’d like to make it show up in the sidebar, with a shortcode or -even better- a widget that comes with the plugin. I found this shortcode [survey_results id=472] and added it to a visual editor widget.

The result: a whole lot of nothing. Then the title of the widget area appeared and then nothing again. No poll whatsoever.

    What did I do wrong?

The website is not live yet, so I can’t give a url.

    Thanks in advance!

The result shortcode is only there to show results after the first person has voted. Better use the [survey id=123] shortcode to show your survey. Everybody who has answered the poll will see the results if you have clicked the option for that in the survey.

You will find it in the survey on the right side under “Options” /
“Show results after finishing survey”. There is also the second new shortcode.

Could we help you or do you have further questions?

If you have no further questions, I will close this ticket. Otherwise open a new one.

Thanks for trying out the Plugin!

Thanks, I didn’t see the notifications of your answers; sorry for my late reply! I managed to figure out how to get the correct shortcode (I made a typo with the _result) but I had difficulties with the text area. I added one for an open answer, but it’s not shown. In the mean time I installed another plugin…
