How to show author avatars in the suffusion template

Hi Just wondering what the procedure is for showing the author avatars at the bottom of a post using the ‘Suffusion’ template. I have installed the ‘Avatars’ plugin, but I can’t seem to get them to show up when I add the required code to the ‘single.php’ file.
