• I have been trying in vain to get the image being displayed on the front page of my site to only show on there and not on the actual post page, but I haven’t had any luck trying to figure it out.
I thought I could do it with featured image but no luck either. My site url is https://www.lavikreyol.com, the image I am referring to is the first one on the page with the play button, I want all my posts to be similar to it. I want when someone clicks on the image to be directed to the post, but without the image being displayed just the rest of the post.

Someone please help me figure this out.

The Conditional Tags can be used in your Template files to change what content is displayed and how that content is displayed on a particular page depending on what conditions that page matches.

For more info, please review this codex: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Conditional_Tags

I have gone through some of the stuff on the page that you suggestd and I have gotten a pretty good feel of how conditionals work but I am still wondering how would one of them be able to help me. How do I write a code or come up with a solution that involves conditionals (or not) where “the first image on every post that comes before the content or after the post title only shows up in the frontpage and not on any other pages”. This is basically what I am trying to do. Help me out. I am using the News theme by the way.
