How to show image titles under images when looked in WC gallery on product pages

  • I would like to show image titles (all manually filled), centered, under the images, only when looked in woocommerce gallery on product pages.

    These were showing correctly some time ago, but at some time, when looked in gallery on product page, all images have the same title – the one of the product itself.

    I’m using a child theme (Newspaper theme by tagdiv).

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi @ayo-1,

    Cross testing for you using the free Storefront theme the image Title/Captions which display under product gallery images are all displaying the correct contextual content which has been applied to the images.

    This indicates that something on your site possibly your theme is preventing this functionality of WooCommerce from working correctly.

    Note: If you have an image title and a caption populated the caption will display in place of the image title.

    Hi Hari,

    Unfortunately I still have not fixed this issue. I contacted our theme support, but I suppose they will reply that it is not theme related issue. It’s the most common answer I get.

    I need instructions how to solve this, otherwise I would not post this topic here (and not only). I really need to solve this as this confuses our shop clients a lot.

    I see what you’re getting at. While I’m more or less certain that this could be a theme issue, I’d still be happy to take a look at this for you to see why this could be happening.

    Can you share a link from your site, where we can see the problem in action? This would help us in helping you troubleshoot this.

    Additionally, Could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
    Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here in your reply.
