How to show number of SKUs in stock ?

    Many Woocommerce themes show the total number of available products, on the main shop page or the search results page.

    Is it possible to show, on the main shop page, the total number of SKUs, which is the sum of the simple products plus all the variations of the variable products? (only available/instock ones)

    Or i better pre-compute this value and just print it via a filter or hook by code ?
