• My test theme for the purpose of this question is the default twenty thirteen.
    With the plugin active, I wrote two bilingual posts and then when I deactivate the plugin I see:

    [:en]English title 2[:nl]nederlandse titel 2[:]
    [:en]en content 2[:nl]NL content 2[:]

    [:en]English title 1[:nl]nederlandse titel 1[:]
    [:en]en content[:nl]NL content[:]

    Is there a way to show only 1 language (eg. default one)? Otherwise i would need to have it active forever if I want my content to be readable.

    Just to be clear, those [:en], [:], etc tags are actually displayed.

    @thewie,

    we have also found that, for the time being you can activate the plugin in only the deafault language.

    @gunu, thanks for your reply.
    My concern was more about the content and the plugin being independent of eachother. If for some reason I no longer need qTranslateX, will I be able to deactivate or remove it without my content looking like above?

    Is this a bug that can/will be fixed in the future or is it designed that way? I mean if it is stored in the database as one long string separated by [:] tags, then I guess my content cannot be decoupled from qTranslateX (or a similar plugin).

    Yes, after removing qTranslate there remain traces. That is of course not intended and we hope to find a solution.

    That is now so.
