how to show only post from current category or specific category

hi, i see the category drop down on the widget, however if i select other category, the widget not displayed in front-end.

if i select “Any”, the widget shows. some bugs? or my mistake?

i’m using wp 3.5.0 with dynamic widget

i also try disable the dynamic widget-plugin, but same result. widget not displayed if i choose other than “any”. maybe conflict with other plugin or my themes. how do i confirm this?

When widget is not displayed it means that nothing to display.
Try to choose category with posts (not empty category).

really? but, i’m sure i choose not empty category. I know this where i put the widget on the category page itself, where in the main page, i have list of post from current category, but the widget still not displayed.

I think I understand this bug.
You choose posts not in first level category hierarchy? Or posts view empty hits/views?

This is great, any chance you could modify it for “current category”? It will show popular posts for the category of the post you are viewing
