    Hi,
I have problems to show only SubCategories and not Products in my store.
The only place I can change this, is: Customize >> WooCommerce >> Product Catalog
On “Shop page display”, I made “Show categories”, and it works fine.
On “Category display”, I made “Show subcategories”, and it does not work.
It is no difference I chose “Show subcategories” or “Show subcategories and products”, or “Show products only”, it always shows subcategories and products.
“Category display” is not working at all.
I need to show subcategories only. Products needs to be shown inside subcategories only.

    System information:
    WordPress ver.: 5.2.2
    WooCommerce ver.: 3.6.5
    Storefront ver.: 2.5.1

    Hi @pranske,

This is most likely because you don’t actually have any subcategories.

If you want a situation where category traversal works, you must have nested categories set up i.e. something like this:

    Shoes
    – Trainers
    — Nike

Where each - indicates that the category is a child of the category above it. You must also products assigned to those subcategories.

Once you have that sorted, selecting Show subcategories will then work in the way you’ve envisioned.

I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as solved not. If you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

I found the problem: it was set different order inside each category, what overrides global “Category display” from Customize >> WooCommerce >> Product Catalog.

Thank you for trying to help.
