Hello, how to make similar posts match only by category but not by other factors.

They don’t want the titles or tags, only posts from the same category.

I currently have an exact match, I want less accurate because of the category as the only factor.

You can turn on Disable contextual matching in the list tuning tab. And uncheck “Disable contextual matching ONLY on attachments and custom post types“.

Then select Only from same and choose category there.

If I understood correctly (maybe it’s included in the translation)

On the tab: Fine-tune the list

I selected the “Limit to the same basic term” option, then also checked “Only from the same” and there “categories”

And I checked “Turn off contextual matching”

The problem is that it only shows new articles from this category as similar, and not random or somehow similar to this category. I have the impression that only the newest entries from this category are visible.

The primary term only applies if you’re using one of the SEO plugins that support this. But, in my view that is the most restricting as it will ignore other categories.

Only from the same is probably a better way. The reason it is only showing the latest is because there is no longer a relevance sorting. One option would be to change the Order posts option to Random.
