That’s the documentation for the theme called Twenty Fifteen.

This is the theme called Twenty Twenty, and its documentation is at https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/twenty-twenty/

hi @macmanx, if you read the twenty twenty document, it is referencing for twenty fifteen for social menu. that is why i shared that. it is not written in twenty twenty or its reference twenty fifteen.

so how can i do that?

Just read the documentation for Twenty Fifteen theme and do as it says.

Linking to any of the following sites will automatically display its icon in your menu

So just create a new menu. You can call it “social media menu” or whatever. And then add links to your social media profiles and as a location choose Social Menu.

Sometimes reading the documentation again helps.

That is where Twenty Twenty’s social menu is designed to display.

in the twentytwenty doc it says “ Twenty Twenty includes a Social Icons Menu, where you can add links to your social media profiles that will be displayed as logos in the header. ”

Ah, that’s an error in the documentation then, we’ll get that fixed. Thanks!

    i see ok thanks.

Is it possible to add the social media menu (which is located normally in the footer) in an easy way in the header aswell?

Does going to Appearances>Menu>Custom Links (Main Menu) adding the url and an <img ...> in the link text, do it for you? (You will have to limit its width.)

I, as a tyro in all this, think this would put the icon in the menu at the top of the page, pretty close to what you wanted.
