How to show updated time instead of posted time on search result

With the Yoast SEO for WordPress plugin, we automatically output the datePublished and dateModified schema properties for an Article piece. You can learn more about it here — https://yoast.com/help/date-appears-search-results/ & https://developer.yoast.com/features/schema/pieces/article/

This in turn helps Google decide what date should output in the search results. However, it may not be possible to set a hard stop on whether you want the original published date or modified date to appear, as it would still be the discretion of Google and the search results — https://developers.google.com/search/blog/2019/03/help-google-search-know-best-date-for
