• How do I set the theme so that I can show the Woocommerce category description at the top of the product category page?

If I swap to a different theme (the one I used to use), the description appears, but it’s not there with CosmosWP.

Any ideas?

Thanks

• Hello @forest-skills ,

Please see the CosmosWP WooCommerce Demo , the Woocommerce category description is showing after we added WooCommerce Category description.
Can you please send screenshot or URL so that we can understand it correctly.

Hi @codersantosh

Here’s an example category page: https://chrisgarlandtraining.co.uk/product-category/e-learning-courses/

The description for this category is “
E-Learning Courses

We offer a range on courses from 100% online e-learning courses to fully face to face instructor lead courses, both classroom and webinar based.

The courses detailed on this page are those that are available to be undertaken 100% online. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, have a look in our Webinar Courses category as you may find them there. Alternatively, <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>contact us to discuss your requirements.”

But as you can see, this doesn’t show on my site.

What do I need to change to make this visible?

Thanks!

Hello @forest-skills ,

You are just displaying the Breadcrumbs, not the banner( title and description) section.
Please go to Appearance => Customize => Main Content => Banner Section and don’t hide it. You may customize it from the available options. For more info, you can view on Banner Section Documentation

This theme just doesn’t make any sense to me.

I’ve tried to do exactly what you’ve said and all that happens is that the main navigation menu floats on top of whatever banner I add, whether it’s colour, text or image.

What I want is “something”, “banner” or otherwise, that shows the woocommerce category description text.

I’ve just about had enough of this theme as there are so many options that you can change, that as soon as you chance something here, it messes up everything else that I’ve tried to sort somewhere else.

??

Hello @forest-skills ,

I was just trying to explain how the theme works.
On the banner section, there are following options

• Background Color
• Background Image
• Normal Image
• Video
• or Hide

Using the options you can design banner section as you want.

Currently, you are hiding banner section but to display WooCommerce category description text, you need to enable banner and play with setting to meet your design.

Best Regards!
