For contact form spam, you’ll want to stop it at the source. Some contact forms, such as WPForms, have built-in spam mitigation features, such as reCaptcha, hCaptcha, and other similar services. If you’re using WPForms, you can check out this page to learn how to stop spam bots from hammering your forms:

If you’re using a different form plugin, you’ll need to consult with the form developer to find out what their recommended method of stopping spam is.
