How To Stop Old Posts From Reposting Themselves?

  • Hi everybody,

    I’ve been having a problem on my site https://www.reallifebrazil.com where my old posts repost themselves. Changing the date on the post doesn’t help anything, a few days later it justs reposts itself. It’s been doing this for a few months now where it keeps changing the dates on my posts.

    I don’t have any reposting plugins installed. I run Thesis theme. Any thoughts on why this is happening?

  • are you runnning any plugins?

    by chance, any seo plugin?

    if you can’t locate and change the settings of the seo plugin to solve the problem (only a guess, because a seo plugin – don’t remember which one exactly – caused the same problem in the past)

    try to deactivate all plugins to see if that solves the problem, then reactivate one plugin after the other to isolate the problem one.

    Hi alchymyth, you are spot on with your answer, SEO thats where the problem was thanks, I’m using SEO searchterms 2, the problem was in the setting of the plugin, dashboard = setting = SEO searchterms2 (click) =scroll down to last setting = “promote old post with no search engine traffic” = set this to NO = end of problem.
