• Once every so often I will get a burst of continuous spam showing up in my analytics. It will carry on with new fake visitors to my homepage for hours. I can’t just put the referrer into a blocking rule in Wordfence or similar because the referrer the spam is using is my own url. I don’t want to just hide the spam from my analytics, I want to prevent it accessing my site and using my database resources. Has anyone had this happen to them and how did you solve it?
