  • My site gets hammered every once in a while, and I do not know any way to keep that from happening. However, there are security plugins that can protect your site from actual intrusion as well as throttling the hammering until the ‘bots give up for now and go somewhere else for a while.

    whats the name of the plugin?

    I use BulletProof Security for htaccess and blocking brute-force login attempts, and I use Wordfence Security for some dynamic blocking and throttling. However, I have heard others talk about All-In-One WP Security doing similar things on its own.
