I’ve installed the “WP Google Search” plugin on my new Poseidon blog but the Search bar also appears right at the top, above the Main Menu, which I don’t want. I only want the Search widget to appear in the sidebar. How can I stop it from appearing above the Menu?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for using Poseidon.

Have you contacted the plugin developer? When the plugin outputs the search bar at the top the theme can not prevent that. The only solution would be to hide the search bar with CSS code.

But the better solution would be to configure the plugin to stop that.

    Best,
    Thomas

Hello, Thomas – Many thanks for your response! I didn’t get a reply from the plugin developer but I did manage to find a Youtube video which described how to hide the search bar at the top of the theme using CSS code, which is what I implemented.

    Best regards,
    Barry R.
