I set up a category ‘events’ to post a message into the field that presently says ‘Sorry…’

I think I have to remove div’s somewhere but am unsure of the proper coding.
Put another way, I want to simply set it up to print off the posts within ‘content_2 div’ .

    Thx.

    Progress!

But I am still unable to post to that specific category ‘events’.

    What am I missing?

Something weird is going on in your template. When I look at the source code, I can see the php code in there… That shouldn’t be there.

Could you be more specific? I was invited to retrofit an existing site to introduce WP to certain areas. The code that I _am_ working with just now on the events.html page is:

[Code moderated as per the Forum Rules. Please use the pastebin]

There is something missing here I can’t quite figure preventing a post in a category named ‘events’ from showing up here.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks.

    When you say

retrofit an existing site to introduce WP to certain areas.

do you mean that you are adding wordPress code to your html files? If so that will not work. You need to set up a wordPress theme, convert your design and then only can you use WordPress to populate pages.
