How to style output of flags without translation

Hi there,

in my settings I have the “show only links with a translation” option unchecked, so my “the_msls” widget shows flags for all defined languages and if a translation of a page isn’t available yet, the particular flag points to the start page of that blog.

Now I wonder, if it would also be possible to style the particular flag symbol in a different way or even disable the link to the start page. I already saw the ‘msls_output_get’ filter, but I can’t figure out, how to check for the available translation of the current page.
