How To Style Posts

Hello All. I got a nice WordPress Theme and like it except I want to have the posts look different. I like it when each post is in it’s own “box” that is styled. Like a nice raised box with the title of the post at the top of the post box in a “header” colored area.
I have no idea how to do this, and is there any sort of tools where I could do any of this visually?
