How to suppress count of posts in blog titles?

    In the navigation sidebar, I don’t want the # of posts [such as (1) or (5)] to appear after the name of each blog. I’m brand new to WordPress, but have made extensive modifications successfully. I’m sure I saw on some screen the ability to turn these counts off so they don’t show, but I can’t find it again! I’ve looked and looked.

    How do you turn them off?

  • If you’re using the widgets then go to your admin page, click Design tab.
    Click Widgets
    choose your side bar
    Click the “edit” button in the categories page
    Uncheck the “Show Post Counts”
