How to tell if the ping service is wotking

  • I have added the pingomatic information to my update services box. However, I am not sure that my new posts are getting sent out, is there a way to determine if this is working?
    Can somebody explain to me how to use the rss -XML information I gewt when I click the orange rss icon on my site?

  • If technorati.com picks up your new posts in time chances are it’s working allright.

    If you want to make sure 100% you have to setup your own ping URL with a mock that just dumps that it was invoked …
